Obtaining a proper explanation in order to improve our understanding of the complexity of land and property development-particularly with respect to the interaction between stakeholders in decision -making processes-is clearly important. The aim of this thesis is to provide an alternative explanation regarding the decision-making in land development process in general, with a particular emphasis on the issue of public infrastructure provisions. In this study, game-theoretical approaches and modeling were applied as analytical frameworks and tools. Both the usefulness and limitations of different game-theoretical modelling in analyzing the strategic behaviour of stakeholders are also observed and investigated. (Author/publisher)
