Abstract
Gas- discharge tubes are used extensively in research, industry and power supply equipment, and although in some applications they have been or are likely to be superseded by solid state deviser, development of certain types is still active. The principles of action of gas discharge devices and their construction are fully dealt with and there are chapters on hot and cold cathode types, thyratrons, and mercury cathode tubes.
