Abstract

To get more insight into the satisfaction of Dutch motorists with the highways in The Netherlands, a survey was conducted for the 10th time in September 2011. Domain of study were motorist, defined as “Drivers of cars, delivery vans, busses or motor cycles carrying a Dutch license plate, who drove at least one time on the Dutch highways or main roads in the last three months”. Therefore a sample of persons over the age of 18 was drawn from a verified panel. 2.388 people responded, which in the end resulted in a net sample of 1.827 drivers on which the findings of this study are based.
