Abstract

The investigation described in this report has been directed toward the identification and description of the behavioural rules applied by traffic participants in a priority situation. Behaviour was observed by video registration on two locations, one having a special priority regulation the other without specific regulation. Head movements of those involved in encounters were also observed, and these were used as a gross indicator of where attention was directed during an approach.
