Abstract
This paper describes how road users having their own responsibility can participate in traffic in the Netherlands as safe as possible. Recommendations are made particularly for car drivers within built-up areas of how to take into account the interests of other road users, such as cyclists and pedestrians, in the best possible way. This kind of behaviour is especially important from the traffic safety point of view.
