Abstract

The main objective of the pilot study to the Geelong Bikeplan was to determine how the goals of increased bicycle safety and use could be achieved in a major urban area. The findings, results and recommendations of this study are contained in this report. The report describes the four E's program approach- Engineering, Education, Enforcement and Encouragement- and explains why it is the way for bicycle planning to proceed.
