Abstract

A lot of effort is put in the development of intelligent electronic systems in motor vehicles, that collect and process information after which it is conveyed to the driver selectively. Since the selectivity is critical in the sense of how much, when and how to convey the information to actually support the driver, this development should at all times be accompanied by the evaluation of the effects these systems have on the driver during driving. This report focuses on the methods that are available to measure workload during driving a motor vehicle.
