General approach and methods to human factors in highway traffic safety research.

Abstract

Some of the methods of measuring abilities, analysing group behaviours, relating behaviour to a criterion and problems in accident criteria are discussed. Studies of near-accidents, use of various laboratory and full-scale experimental and observational methods are described briefly and illustrative reports are mentioned.
