Abstract

This report presents estimates of selected national characteristic about the approximate 6.800.000 police-reported motor vehicle traffic crashes that occurred in the U.S. in 1988, 1989 and 1990. Approximately 3 million motor vehicle occupants were injured or killed in crashes. About half of the 187.000 pedestrians and pedalcyclists injured or killed were under the age of 25.
