Abstract

A handbook is presented for workers in the social and behavioural sciences, especially those who are curious about general systems theory’s pretentions as a new epistemology or innovative methodological platform. It is also for those systems theorists who wonder about the ways in which their constructs and concepts might specifically serve the causes of the human sciences: economics, sociology, political science, social psychology, organization theory, etc.
