Abstract

General prevention is the ability of the Criminal law and its enforcement to make citizens law-abiding. In this report the special-preventive effect of the penalty for driving while influenced, is studied. After a literature review, the method of research is described and the results are discussed. It is concluded that there is a great discrepancy between the actual penalty policy and the perception of it by the potential offenders.
