Abstract

The spatial structure, described by points (addresses) and segments (streets) and polygons (zonal areas), can be combined with locational data files within the framework of a spatial oriented information system. The existing data files remain the source of information and the segments of the netork structure function as data carriers for manipulating the data. With new methods and techniques administrative data systems can now be used in a much more efficient and decentralized way.
