Abstract

Many disciplines are using GIS (Geographic Information Systems). It is still uncommon to find that different disciplines are combining their efforts to join systems and models for the benefit of planning and research. An example is transport modelling. This paper gives an outline of a possible combination of GIS and transport modellin a pilot study. The SALADIN system has been extended with modules to create transport networks and with interfaces to transport modelling packages.
