Abstract

Since 1986, Canada Post Corporation (CPC) has been working in conjunction with universities ad other businesses to develop various management and optimization tools for urban transportation operations. All of these tools have one common element: GeoPostal networks. These GeoPostal networks differ from typical geographic information systems in the principle of connectivity - the fundamental element in route optimization. This paper will discuss Canada Post's GeoPostal networks and some of their related applications. (A)
