Abstract

Interest in the use of geosynthetics in the construction of transportation facilities has shown a significant increase over the past several years. The objective of the use of geosynthetics in the various applications has been to improve the performance of the end products, such as flexible pavements, retaining walls, drainage elements, and so forth. The 12 papers included in this volume are of interest to engineers responsible for geosynthetics applications. (A)
