Get There is a Travel Management System (TMS) that looks to minimise the effects of continuing traffic growth in Essex, UK and more specifically, the rationalisation of hospital services for Colchester within the General Hospital (CGH). It provides a travel related enquiry service and information to staff, patients and visitors travelling to CGH. This paper outlines the implementation of the one-stop-shop Get There - TMS information systemthat integrates hospital layout information, private and public transportjourney planning and travel information (including real-time), and potentially the patient booking system. It provides an outline of the generic system architecture, the implementation considerations and the ongoing assessment of the Get There TMS. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
