Abstract

The GSA/ED co-funded FP7 project GINA addresses the adoption of EGNOS/Galileo in the road sector considering technical and economical large-scale feasibility and positive impacts in aspects such as congestion and pollution. The project leverages on the analysis of the context for a nationwide GNSS-based road pricing (and VAS) solution, with emphasis on business aspects, implementation of a nation-wide large-scale demonstrator of GNSS-basedroad pricing (having the Dutch ABvM system as a reference) and VAS (with real end-users requirements) and a solid dissemination strategy. This paper addresses the project analysis phase and the setting up of the demonstrator in the Netherlands.
