Abstract
Description of a safety rail, consisting of several types of a single steel girder bolted auto steel posts. A number of collision experiments are described, in which a passenger car with a dummy driver hits the fence. A few tests were made with the fence placed on the berm, and with a removable type of fence. details of tests and measurements, e.g. stresses and deceleration figures, are given, and damages are ascertained.
