Abstract

Some of the algebraic equations often used in accident analysis may be solved graphically using the charts presented. Both vehicle kinematics and occupant kinematics charts are included. Graphical solution, while less accurate than hand-calculator solution, is less prone to mistake, while providing a first approximation to the reconstruction which is consistent with the models upon which the charts are based. The graphical method allows the user to observe the influence of the various parameters on the solution.(a) for the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 275763.
