Abstract

Simulation could stop the delivery business turning into a logistical trial. Logistics is that part of the supply chain process that plans, implements and controls the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services and related information. This occurs from the point of origin to the point of consumption, in order to meet customers' requirements. The proposal of a methodology for the design and evaluation of city logistic systems has to be complemented with a software system in order for it to be accessible to the practitioner. This document describes routing and scheduling models, city logistics and ICT, a microscopic traffic simulator, and dynamic fleet management. For the covering abstract see ITRD E139966.
