Abstract

The article deals with the consequences of car ownership and car usage on land use and land prices. Lotting out must become cheaper and by increasing housing densities the land price per dwelling unit decreases. Roads and parking facilities occupy space and this involves costs. It is obvious therefore that there is a tendency to reduce the claimed for motor car traffic. The conclusion is that standards for car accessibility and parking can be lowered.
