Abstract

The study included determination of the effect on wet-night visibility of various paint treatments and groove textures. Coarse transverse treated with white beaded traffic paint were the most effective painted groove design tested, but on an operational highway under both wet and rainy conditions, these grooves were no more visible than conventional stripes.
