Abstract
This guide is designed to supply the information needed to select tyres to suit particular needs and maintain them for maximum safety, tyre life, and performance. Types of tyre available, are considered together with technical aspects of tyre construction and marking. Tyre costs, traction, endurance and tread wear are aspects considered for tyre selection, and good service practices covered include tyre mounting, wheel alignment and tyre replacement. Instructions are included on tyre loading and maintenance.
