Abstract

A short manual to guide highway engineers in the state road authorities and local government authorities dealing with day-to-day traffic engineering problems, is presented. The manual is divided in 8 sections: (1) Introduction; (2) Roadway capacity; (3) Traffic studies; (4) Provision for stationary vehicles; (5) Traffic control devices; (6) Traffic accidents; (7) Traffic operations and control; and (8) Intersections at grade.
