Abstract

The work described here is the conclusion of the DRIVE project V1049 which aimed to provide a manual of guidelines for field trials of Road Transport Informatics Systems. The contents of this manual are listed below: Chapter 1. Introduction; Chapter 2. Field trials in DRIVE; Chapter 3. Relevant experience from past field trials; Chapter 4. General approach to planning and design of field trials; Chapter 5. A framework for typifying field trials of RTI; Chapter 6. Guidelines for the conduct of field trials; Chapter 7. Field trials aspects in a European dimension; Chapter 8. Costs of field trials; Chapter 9. Summary of the main guidelines; Appendix A. Details of the analysis of experiments; Appendix B. Short description of past field trials. In this presentation the main points of this manual are presented.
