Guidelines on Use of Exposure Control Measures summarizes the various types of exposure control measures and discusses how each can improve the safety of workers and motorists in work zones. The document addresses full road closures, full or partial detours or diversions, median crossovers, ramp closures, rolling roadblocks for traffic control set-up and takedown activities, working during nighttime hours, and accelerated contracting techniques.
