Abstract

An empirical research is made into favourable periods for counting traffic for the determination of the yearly twenty-four hour average of traffic intensities, which is the number of vehicles per twenty four hours during one year. Two methods were studied: Counting during two weeks in succession in spring and two weeks in succession in autumn gave the best results. With the aid of the computer program GUNPER the results were analysed.
