Induction of information technology (IT) in the road transport sector is aimed at fulfilling its objectives - of standardising transport documents across the state in a digital format to facilitate smoother functioning ofthe transport department and to assure greater security and easier operability for the average commuter. electronic ticketing machines, an initiative of IT, issued to bus conductors on route in state owned Karnataka StateRoad Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has turned out to be a complete solution for the transport community in general and corporation in specific.
