Abstract

Per April 1, 1983, it became possible to introduce a maximum speed limit of 30 km/h inside build-up areas. In the beginning a traffic sign was used on each corner of a street, thereafter a new traffic sign was developed which could be used for a whole region. The road administrator has to fulfil to some requirements before he is allowed to introduce this 30 km/h speed limit. This manual will be a guide to the road administrator in the determination of speed-limiting.
