Abstract
The purpose of this introduction booklet is to improve the participation of the population in the attack of problems in the area of traffic and traffic safety. The booklet is based on an extensive questionnaire held by a hundred municipalities. Besides the regular ways of participation new ideas like the traffic consulting hours, structural consultations with pressure groups and consultation platforms on local level, were mentioned.
