Abstract

Effects of real hardware characteristic including force generators, sensors and other components are shown in three examples. First two examples deal with advanced suspensions for driver's seats in commercial vehicles. In the first case, non-linear effects of an electromagnetic force generator on the semi-active damping are described. The second example refers to the control of a pneumatic fully active suspension for a sprung seat. In the third example, experiences with the design of a controller using learning automata are given.
