Abstract

This paper describes the role of real-world crash injury data in the development of safety strategies or regulations. It highlights the difficulties in combining or comparing data from several teams or countries. Areas are indicated where a harmonised approach could allow a more general view of vehicle safety issues. Current European activity towards data harmonisation is described. (A)
