Abstract

A traveler that needs to utilize more than one operator to make a journeyfrom point A to point B would benefit from harmonized public transport information in a region. Different methods how to accomplish this are compared in this paper. The integrator concept correctly applied can provide consistent Public Transport information in a region with multiple operators even when the different operators use different technical systems. From a service-orientation perspective the integrator provides a layer of servicescombining data and abstracting the presentation systems from the individual IT-systems at the respective operator.
