Abstract

The primary categories of head injuries, the type and amount of mechanical loading to produce various injuries, and the mechanisms of head injury are described briefly. Much knowledge has been accumulated on head trauma, but substantial gaps remain in bridging the information between the research laboratory and the real world of injuries.
