Abstract

In the study of the influence of various impact parameters of the dynamic response of the head-neck system, it appeared interesting to investigate the effect of a rotational component during the crash, such as those being observed for instance in non-symmetrical frontal crashes. Since this phenomenon must be difficult to simulate on a sled, to see if it was of interest to design a specific sled for this, a few tests in real conditions with vehicles, in which baboons were setting, were conducted.
