Abstract

A method is described for computing capacity of signalized intersections based on measuring starting time delays, entering headways for loaded portions of cycles, and utilization of the yellow interval for loaded cycles. Data on use of the method to evaluate effects on capacity of weather and visibility at one intersection are presented.
