Abstract

Visual display jobs, especially when electronic display are used, mean often a heavy visual task. Many information of low redundancy is presented in a small field of view and has to be percepted and processed by the operator in a short time. At first ergonomics can help to make the presented information itself well adapted to man. The knowledge of how the human eye percepts and processes a knowledge field is a necessary part of solving the problem.
