Abstract
The need of traffic and transport planners to have quickly available the value of explanatory factors influencing transport demand led, a.o. to the development of a so called basic network with corresponding software. A systematic description is given of the infrastructure, analysed in all its essential components, for all modes of transport, such as walking, bicycle, moped, car, railway, bus, etc.
