Abstract

The estimation of the position and speed of crossing traffic approaching a junction is always difficult, but when approaching a curve it is even more difficult. In the lather it happens on the ground of a rough estimation of the oblique distance under which the driver sees the crossing traffic coming on. The driver decelerates more according as the perceived angle of the crossing traffic and his own driving line decreases.
