Abstract
A review is given of the medical backgrounds and the practical organization of the medical attendance of seriously wounded victims. The following subjects are treated: the judgement of the victim in the hospital; post traumatic neurological disorders; disturbances in the circulation of the blood and in the respiration; transport of the seriously wounded; equipment of the ambulance; riding quality; personnel; organization of medical assistance in small and big hospitals.
