Abstract

The objective of this paper is to show the use of paneldata in transportation studies with two concrete examples. First, the effects of the fare increase in April 1984 on the ticket type substitution are analysed. Next the consequences of changing person and household characteristics on mode choice are analysed. It is concluded that paneldata can provide important insights in the causes of changing travel behaviour.
