Abstract

The Delft project is a more or less logical sequel of the demonstration projects on urban cycle routes in Tilburg and The Hague. Results of these two earlier projects led also to the idea to include a bicycle route network in the medium term planning. Delft was chosen because the local authority already had a complete bicycle route network plan which largely satisfied the research requirement.
