Abstract
Speed profiles have been measured for test persons, driving in their own car, with begin and end speeds varying between 0 and 40 km/h and distances varying from 20 to 100 m. Relationships for speed profile parameters (location and value of the highest spot-speed and journey-speed) with "hump"-speed and "hump"-distance have been developed in order to optimise design and measurement. The speed-time-profile could be approached with a trapezium.
