Abstract

The stability of the transport system is depending on the number of possibilities to meet the needs of transport. The stability of the present-day transport system as a whole can not be established, because there is too little known about the question how many of the present-day movements can be made by other modes of transport. It is indicated that distance will increase and that therefore people will be increasingly dependent on cars.
