In this article, the author surveys the stormy development of transport since 1947. Since transport has more or less developed into complete mass production, it now holds a place in general management to the same detent as purchase, production and sales. One of the latest developments in this line is transport by means of containers. Prossessing one's own containers makes huge demands insofar as finances and organization are concerned so that indications are that container transport will be bagged by the shipping companies, railroad companies and the very big road transport companies.
Abstract
