Abstract

In October 1970 a two-part traffic survey was conducted in the town centre of Den Helder. At the first day traffic was counted between 3.30 and 6.30 p.m., the second day all road users were counted and interviewed where possible in three specially assigned areas. From the results a traffic model could be constructed for the forecasting of future traffic flows. Five alternatives are presented for reconstruction of the traffic network.
