Abstract

The traffic circulation plan is a plan which shows which measures must be taken inside built-up areas to support a quick and safe level of service for transport and traffic - at present and in the near future - as much as possible within the background of an acceptable environment. The government has recently issued recommendations concerning traffic circulation plans. Up to the present time, however, only a few such plans have been drawn up. An example is given for the town of uden, a town of about 25000 inhabitants. The present situation, forecast, priority requirements, capacity, public transport, cyclist, pedestrian and other aspects are discussed. For the covering abstract of the conference, see IRRD abstract no. 219711.
