Abstract

The rapid increase of the number of motor-vehicles has led to a noise problem in traffic, and elsewhere. Existing technical means that reduce the noise of motor-vehicles are likely to be applied only, when they are prescribed by law. Within the framework of town and country planning, too, attention should be paid to this multi-disciplinary problem. Finally, this article deals with problems on sound insulation versus for example, air-conditioned buildings.
