Abstract

The transport policy of the Dutch government is almost fully controlled by a legislation focussed on regulation of supply and demand within the different transport sections. Through a controlled capacity on the part of the supplier of transport achievements influence is exercised on the pricing of transport performances. In this way the transporters are also protected. The author points out a possibility to handle the transport interests in another way from the side of the government.
