Abstract

To provide high cross-country speed for military vehicles the profound effect of time is converted from a disadvantage to an advantage. A high resolution, high data rate laser ranger is compiled with a rocking mirror servo system to provide a profile terrain sensor. An active suspension lifts the wheels before the contact the bump. The forces felt by the hull are drastically reduced.
